SHSAM is a 3rd party software tool created by Barr Engineering.
This software is free to the public as a tool to help engineers calculate stormwater TSS efficiencies. It will
allow you to calculate TSS on various products that are on the market. Upstream's SAFL Baffle is one of the products
you may compare with hydrodynamic separators, vaults, chambers and more.
There are products on the market that are not available in SHSAM due to lack of testing data. In order to calculate TSS, rigorous testing
must be performed on any device before SHSAM can work with it. Testing, such as: multiple sump strucuture sizes, various pipe diameters
and inlet to outlet angle, as well as testing the effects of trash on the device.
